You're Tweet Layout

I made this layout for the Cricut Circle Blog Weekly Challenge # 6.  The challenge was to use a bird and some sort of stitching and at least two cuts from the cricut.

Here is my double page layout.

The banners are from Indie Art, I just cut them out and then cut the top parts off by hand to make them in the shape I wanted them in.  The birds are from Straight from the Nest and the letters are from Lyrical Letters.

Here is a close up of the left side
It is hard to see but around the green mat I faux stitched to cover that part of the challenge. I used my I rock to make the eyes of the birds.

Here is the right side close up
Thanks so much for looking!  Hope you have a great day!

We have a winner!

Ok, I know I said that I would draw in the morning for my blog candy, but life got in the way today. Sorry,  but, I am announcing the winner now!

First though I want to say thank you to all the wonderful comments, I hope you all enjoyed the hop as much as I did.

Ok Ok, I'll announce my winner.  I had my son pick a number out of 93 (the two day's worth of comments added together.  His first number was 779...ummm...sorry, guess I get to keep the cartridge! LOL

Just joking!

His second number was 38, and that is Traci!

Traci said...
Oh my word....how stinking adorable is this bouquet?

Traci
Congratulations Traci!  I'll email you right now!  Thanks again to everyone who stopped by!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to the Thanksgiving Blog Hop, where we are celebrating Thanksgiving and being Thankful for Family, Friends, Freedom and Food.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and would like to start back at the beginning of the hop, please click here and you'll go back to Amy
We have a long line up of a lot of talented girls for  event, and this is the second day.  If you missed out yesterday, please feel free to look around the blog for my Autumn Flower bouquet.  I am pretty proud of it!

Now if you came over from Scrappidy Ashy
you are in the right place.  Isn't her blog amazing? Her calendar yesterday was great!
For my project today  I chose a mini album titled "Thankful Heart" It has the mats in place for some pictures or more journalling, but I want to be able to use some pictures from Thanksgiving day.  But I also already included a few pictures of my kids.

The pages are all pockets with hidden tags.  I asked eac
h one of my family members what they are thankful for then recorded on the back side of the tags.  I think it will be so neat to look back and see how this changes from year to year.  Here is a picture of all the tags.

Here are pictures of all pages opened up

To make the pages I used some small boxes that I had gotten vitamin samples in, flattened them, cut the flaps off, covered them with some pretty paper from DCWV then bound them with my Bind it all, and VOILA, instant book with pocket pages!

The cartridges I used for this project are:
Thanksgiving
Lovely floral
Lacy Labels
Home Accents
Gypsy Wanderings
Paper Doll dress up

Ok, if you were here yesterday day you saw that I was offering a Cricut Cartridge for my blog candy, but I wouldn't tell you which one..well...

how does HOLIDAY CAKES sound?

If I make it to 100 followers I will add a surprise to the candy, and if I make it to 150 I will do another drawing for a different prize on Wednesday.

You don't have to be a follower to win (although I love new followers!)  All you have to do to win is leave a comment on this post.  If you left a comment on yesterday's post and you comment again you will get 2 chances to win.  I will announce the winner on Monday.

Ok, on with the hop, your next stop is Looney Bug Designs.  I'm sure she has another amazing project for us today!

Thanksgiving Blog Hop

Welcome to the Thanksgiving Blog Hop, where we are celebrating Thanksgiving and being Thankful for Family, Friends, Freedom and Food.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and would like to start back at the beginning of the hop, please click here and you'll go back to Amy
We have a long line up of a lot of talented girls for this 2 day event, that's right, 2 days, so make sure you come back tomorrow for a new round of projects from everyone!

Now if you came over from Scrappidy Ashy
you are in the right place.  Isn't her blog amazing?

Ok, enough talk for now, I'll get to my project! :)  I chose to do a flower bouquet for today's project.

I used my gypsy and several Cricut cartridges for this project, and there is no rhyme or reason for the way I put the flowers together, I just cut a bunch of layers, inked, embossed and sanded and added them together.

Here is a list of the carts that I did use:
Celebrate with Flourish - for the "giving Thanks"
Lacy Labels - for the base that the words are on
the flowers came from a collection of the following carts:
Straight from the nest
Forever young
Songbird (I hid the letters using my gypsy)
Paisley
Accent Essentials

Ok, now for the blog candy.  I am very close to 100 followers, and if I make it during this hop I will add something special.  But for now the original candy ....

 a Cricut Cartridge...

but I'm not telling you what one until tomorrow!  If you come back tomorrow and leave another comment  you will get 2 chances to win!

Now, I'm done for today, your next stop is Looney Bug Designs. I can't wait to see what wonderful project she has for us today!

Here is a complete list of the stops, just in case you have gotten lost along the way.

Halloween Batman Layout

Life has gotten in the way of creating and posting!  This weekend though I will be part of a Thanksgiving Blog hop, filled with some wonderfully talented women!  I hope you will join us!
I did this layout last week, but just haven't had the time to post it.  It is Halloween 2009.  My son was Batman, and I just happened to use only the Batman cartridge on the layout.

I love the way that the Batmans go together.  I think this is one of my favorite liscensed cartridges.  Thanks for looking, and remember the Thanksgiving blog hop this weekend, it's going to be a good one!
