Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge # 4 - Halloween

This weeks challenge on the Cricut Circle is a Boo Challenge and had to involve a transparent element.  I have had some vellum laying around forever, so I figured this was the best way to use some of it up!  Here is my double page layout.
I used Happy Hauntings for the title which is cut at 3 inches.  The Spiderweb frame is also from Happy Hauntings and is cut at 6 inches.

Here is a close up of the left page

The vellum is behind the title and the spider webs on top of the pictures.  I web is cut from Mini monsters and I think it is 2 1/2 inches. (I think)

Here is the right page

Behind the picture in a frame is the girl spider cut out from Mini Monsters using the shadow optin at like 4 inches I think.  I cut the bow off her head and used it for journaling.  There is more vellum on the frame and another web on top of the pictures.

Thanks for looking!

Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge CREATE

This month's challenge on the Circle Blog is "celebrating creativity."  The rules were pretty simple, the project had to be a layout or a home decor project.  It had to have at least 2cricut cuts, use the shadow feature, patterned paper and embellish at least one of the cuts.

I struggled on this one, just because my creativity is a little slow right now! :) Finally, I chose to make a wall hanging.  I'm not sure where I'll put it yet, because I don't have a "room" to scrap in, and it doesn't fit in the dinning room where I do work, but oh well!

The shapes themselves are cut from Lacy Labels at 10 inches.
The letters are from Storybook cut at 3 1/4 inches
The butter fly is from Rock Princess cut at 6 1/4 inches.
Here are close ups of each of them seperately

I used  my I rock to add jewels to the butterfly and stickles on the butterfly tail on the Create part.

Thanks for looking~

Elf on the shelf turned Witch in a web!

My kids needed a little push to start behaving...anyone else have this problem?  Well, last year we had a blast at Christmas with our Elf on the shelf - we actually have 2 of them!  While thinking about the behaving issues a new idea was born...

I turned Layla, our girl elf on a shelf into a witch in a web!  I could have made her witch costume better, but I wanted her to be noticeably an elf in costume.
None of the webs were there before, so when the kids woke up it was a big surprise!

Here is a picture of just her on the shelf.
I just used paper and made strips so she could still sit for the skirt.  I used some primas to dress up the belt.  I added some Halloween trim to her neckline.  Then I just played with the hat until it fit over her elf hat.

Here is a picture of the whole doorway that Layla decorated.

The orange thing is a giant lollypop with a spider inside of it.  "Layla" found those at Wal-mart and got one for each of the kids.

Now for the cricut part.  Layla also made all 3 kids their own Halloween card, using the Little Monsters Cricut cartridge.

Here is the first one. It is for Paizley, my little girl.

Here is the second one, for Levi.
And the third one for Hunter

The all say the same thing..Be Sweet (outside) if you want treats (inside)

All the cards also had a note inside that told the kids to behave because even though it is only Halloween time, Santa is already watching. (I'm not above bribery!)

Layla has been known to leave messes, notes, treats and all kinds of surprises around our house, and this one was very unexpected!

Let her eat Cake

This layout is for the Cricut Circle Weekly challenge.  The challenge was to use 3 of the following items; pink, glitter, scallops, ruffles, gems and flourishes.  I decided that it was finally time to scrap my daughter's first birthday since she turned 3 the other day!

Here is the layout!
I used A child's year fo the little kids in the high chairs, and the scalloped ovals.  The font is Birthday cakes and the banner is from Straight from the nest.
Here is a close up of the left side.

The cupcake paper is from DCWV, but other than that, it is all just from my stash of cardstock.

Here is the right side.

The scalloped borders are a fiskars punch.  Thanks for looking!

Haunted Halloween Blog Hop!

BLOG CANDY NOW CLOSED!!!

Welcome to the  Haunted HalloweenBlog Hop!  This is the first hop I have ever been in and I am so excited to have you stopping by!

If you just came from Loney bug Designs then you are in the right place! But if you just happend to stop by and would like to head back to the beginning click here to go back to Cricut Confessions!
For my project I chose to do a doube page layout titled "Witch way to the Candy."  I loved my daughter's Halloween costume last year.
The papers are by Cloud 9.  I did  alittle bit of everything on this layout. I chalked, inked, colored and distressed!  This LO is a little out of my comfort zone.  I still think it is a little too busy but I do like it!
I used Mini Monsters (for the first time!) on the witch's hat and the candy cut outs.  The little witch in the top right corner is by Pink Cat Studio.  It is the witch Lily digi stamp.
Here is a close up of the left page.

The title of the page is around the main photo...her hat was a little too big!
Here is a close of the right page.
The journaling is hidden under the digi stamp.  I used stickles on the candy to jazz it up alittle.

Now, for the part you have all been waiting for...of course...there is blog candy!

All you have to do enter to win is become a follower and leave a comment on this post.  Please make sure you leave a way for me to contact you! I will pick a winner on Tuesday morning!

Shop till you drop Card

First off today I want to let you all know that next weekend on the 9th, there is going to be an awesome Halloween Blog Hop, which I am going to be part of, so mark it down, and come back, there will be blog candy here!!!

I made this card today, I'm not sure what it is for yet, but it is just too cute.  I love the image.  It is a digital stamp from Pink Cat Studio.  I love Lilly and Billy, they are just too cute!  I used my Expression and the Forever Young Cartridge to cut out the cute flower and the shapes behind the stamped image.
The sentiment stamp at the top says "take care of "you" today."  It is from a stamp set by MSE.  I haven't taken any big plunges and bought copics yet and I can't seem to get results that I like from my letraset aquamarkers, so I used the very advanced technique and supplies...Crayola colored pencils!

The inside says Shop till you drop, which I cut from the Paisley cartridge and another flower from Forever Young. Here is a picture of it, just incase you want to see, nothing special really!
Enjoy, I hope you all have a great weekend!
