Belated Birthday Card

This card is for the color challenge on the Cricut Circle online swarm this weekend.  It may not have been the colors I would have chosen, but I think I like the way it tuned out.   Remember, I am a scrapbooker not a card maker!

I used the Forever Young cartridge and Imagine Blast off cartridge for the cuts.  The girl is cut at 4.5 inches and printed with prints from Blast off.  The word Details is 1 inch and the rest of the words are printed on my home printer.
The papers are from the DCWV all about girls mini mat stack.

Paradise Found

I made this layout for a challenge on the Cricut Circle online swarm, we are having some fun since we couldn't make it to Texas for the stampede.  It was a sketch challenge, this is the sketch

Now, usually I don't like to use sketches because all my layouts are double pages and it doesn't seem like there are many for that, but this one really inspired me, so I gave it a shot and turned it into a double page layout.

This is the first time my little girl saw the beach.  The papers are from Making Memories.  Here is a close up of the left side

The waves at the top are cut from a punch, I think it is a fiskars.  The bottom waves are from the Life is a Beach cartridge welded together.  Here is the right side of the layout, which is very close to the sketch I think!
The charm is also cut from Life is a Beach and the Journal block is from Imagine More Cards.  I only used one layer for it.  The title is cut from Lyrical Letters.  I think that is all for now.  Thanks for looking!

Happy 5th Birthday

I have been thinking about this layout for almost 2 years now, and just didn't get it done.  Of course it helps that I finally got the Boys will be Boys Cricut Cartridge recently.  The papers are from The Paper Studio Boys and their Toys stack.  Great prints, but I did find the paper to be very thin, so  I  mounted the entire layout on white cardstock.

Here is a close up of the left side

The big tire that I used for the title is from Boys will be boys, and the font is from base camp.  I used my gypsy and welded the letters to the tire and then used the negative space for the lettering. The trucks are also from Boys will be boys.   There is a cake brad in the bed of the blue truck and 3balloon brads in the bed of the green truck.

Here is a close up of the right side

This green truck has button presents falling out of it and a party hat brad in the bed too.  The pocket I made on my gypsy with a square and a triangle.  I keep all the invitations and cards from birthday parties, and I figured this would be a great place to keep them all.

So there it is, a layout and  blog update! Go me! LOL Thanks for looking!

Tubin on the Hooch

This layout is of a trip we took boating and tubing on the Chattahoochee river.  The kids were little, but they loved it...well most of them did.

Sorry the picture isn't the greatest. I used my imagine cartridge JT for the arrows and the font is from Lyrical Letters.  Here is the left side up close

It is hard to see but the picture on the bottom is of my neice and she was scared to death!
The papers are from Sandy Lion (I hope that is right) The arrow on this side I stamped with the word "adventure"

Here is a close up of the right side.

This arrow says good times and I just flipped it using my imagine before I printed it.

Thanks for looking!

We're Going to the Zoo

I made this layout for the weekly challenge on the Cricut Circle Blog.  This weeks challenge was to use animals to inspire your project.  I thought it would be a perfect time to scrap a trip to the Ohio Zoo.  This was a great way to get me going again! I have been playing ever since I did the LO.

I used my imagine and cut the title letters and animals from Zooballo with the patterns from JT and Imagine More.  Here is a close up of the lef side.  I love the picture of the kids with the ape in the middle of them,  how fitting for my kids!  And the tiger sleeping up against the glass was adorable, (as long as the glass was there!)  The elephant cut is from Animal Kingdom.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to leave a comment! Have a great day!

Romance Card

I just got an Imagine, so I have been playing trying to figure it out.  This is the first project I made with it.  I used Wall decor and More for the Heart and the word.  The patterns are from the Imagine More cartridge.  I also used a cuttlebug border embossing folder at the bottom.  I threw this together at the last minute for my hubby on Valentines Day.  Not too bad for a first attempt, I am still trying to figure everything that this awesome new machine does, but so far, I am in love with it!

One Love mini book

Yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of my wonderful marriage to a equally wonderful man.  I wanted to do something to show him that I love him more now then the day we got married, so I made him a mini book.  I am still not sure that I feel that it is finished, but I have given it to him and he loved it, and some of the things I thought of adding were more "femine" touches, so they may not have been fitting anyway.   Before I start to share the pictures, let me say, I would love to share all my cricut info with all of you, but unfortunately my gypsy with all my cut files broke again and is once again on its way back to provo craft.

Here is the front of the book. I decided on a gate fold book.  This is the first time I have attempted on of these.  The red heart fits behind the purple heart to keep the book closed.  Closed it measures 5 1/2 inches by 11 inches.

When you open up the book this is what you see.
These are all pictures of us before we were married.  This is a full size page that open to the left. It also has a pocket and inside I tucked some of the letters that we wrote back and forth while he was in basic training.

When this page is opened this is the next page, which opens to the right.  It is another pocket page which has our wedding invitation and a couple more letters.

When that page is opened, it revels the wedding pages.  The center is a half page so both sides open.

Sorry for the glare in the pictures, this book is very long and it was hard to get good pictures of it.  Next the middle two pages  are open  and there is more of the wedding and reception.

Now it goes back to a left opening page from here and behind it is our married life, with another pocket, this one has letters from hubby's numerous deployments. The love page is also in a pocket and hass some journaling on it.

This center page opens to the right to reveal a large page with family photos on it, through  all the years of our marriage.

Once again, the middle page is split and opens to reveal the last page.  The journaling on this page reads, "A true love story never ends."

That's it, now we just have to figure out ho to close it back up until the next time! :)
Thanks for looking and have a great day! - oh and if I can magically find my cut files when my gypsy is returned (very very doubtful!) I will more than happily share them with you all!  One more thing, most of the papers in the album are from DCWV elegant stack and old world stack.

Ok, really I am done now!  Bye!
